BEHAVIOUR
CONSULTATIONS

All behaviour happens for a reason... the key to changing it is establishing what that reason is, and as a qualified and accredited behaviourist, I can help you understand and overcome those unwanted, 'problem' behaviours in your dog.

Whether you need to learn the basics from scratch or need some help addressing a problem behaviour... we can work together. I provide training that is custom-tailored to you and your dog's needs – all through achievable, effective, force-free and ethical methods.

I'm a qualified and accredited canine behaviourist and assistance dog trainer... busy mum, and Basset Hound owner (so I know how it feels to not be listened to, believe me!)

WHY TRAIN WITH ME?

positivity.png

POSITIVITY
TRAINING

My training techniques, advice and all of the work I do with your dog is based on the (now thankfully more commonplace) theory of positive reinforcement in dog training.

Positive training for a positive outcome, with no negative or cruel practices.

QUALIFIED & ACCREDITED

As well as being a Distinction Member of the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers), I am also a qualified behaviourist accredited under the IMDTB, hold qualifications in dog training and behavioural studies accredited by the CPD and ICOES, and have worked as Volunteer and Training Officer with ADUK member organisation Dog A.I.D, who specialise in training pet dogs to be ADI-accredited assistance dogs for the disabled.

I am also qualified in both canine and human first aid.

ONGOING
SUPPORT

Any work I do with you and your dog is fully supported by follow-up calls, messages, or emails as a part of your training care.

I am always a phone call or a visit away should you both need more support – I like to think my clients and their dogs are friends, not projects!

FULLY COVERED

I am fully insured, and hold an enhanced DBS check. You and your pup are in safe hands.

Any and all of my documentation can be seen readily upon request.

“Thank you Jen, Alfie is a totally different dog now. He is happy to be left alone for quite a few hours at home, with no damage to carpet on the stairs... and we've got (the basics) pretty good as well now. Thanks again and for making early training so much fun.”
